Shipyard Trust for the Arts (STAR) Announces Annual Art Auction during the Hunters Point Shipyard Open Studios

October 30 & 31, 2010

The Annual Art Auction benefiting Shipyard Trust for the Arts (STAR) will be held on Saturday, 30 October and Sunday, 31 October 2010. The silent auction goes all weekend, culminating in an exciting live auction Sunday from 5-7 PM.

The auction will be held during Fall Open Studios at the Hunters Point Shipyard. Funds raised by the auction support STAR's programs, which include an 18-month Artist in Residence Program; the "Pass It On" Program, providing free art workshops to non-profits in the surrounding Bayview-Hunters Point community; and STAR's many other efforts.

• SILENT AUCTION: View art and make silent or proxy bids all day Saturday, Oct 30 from 11am to 6 pm, and on Sunday, Oct 31, from 11 am - 4:00 pm.

• LIVE AUCTION: Sunday, Oct 31 at 5:00 pm. Bid Numbers require a $10 donation to STAR.

• LOCATION: Building 101, 2nd floor, in Gallery 101, Hunters Point Shipyard.

• RAFFLE TICKETS sold all weekend, $2 each or 3 tickets for $5

• OPEN STUDIOS is a free event with free parking. Visit the studios of over 150 artists.
